Rapper, actor, tv producer, and businessman, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is getting more power. 50 cent is set to be the executive producer of animated Black superhero series named Trill League. In recent years, we have seen 50 turn from rapping and has shifted his focus to other entertainment endeavors.
In a time of social injustice and internet trolls, Trill League’s Black superheroes have a job to save the world from haters, monsters and villains of all types. The series will satirize the current American culture. Trill League comes from a graphic novel which combines hip-hop, superheroes, and anime that was written by Anthony Piper. Piper will be lending his services to the series as a writer, creator, and will also serve as one of the executive producers as well along with Lionsgate TV and 50 Cent's G-Unit Film & Television.
50 Cent said of the project, "I am excited to bring G-Unit Film & Television to an innovative platform like Quibi with my partners at Lionsgate and 3 Arts. Anthony Piper and Jameel Saleem have created a world we haven’t seen before in Trill League, looking forward to sharing it soon.”
50, until the series drops, we will be patiently waiting.
