Michael B. Jordan has been making an impact this year and clearly has no plans of slowing down.

The Creed actor is in the final producing stages of a new series Raising Dion, that will be aired on Netflix beginning in October of this year. The series is based on a comic book of the same name by Dennis Liu. Liu serves as an executive producer along with Michael B. Jordan.

The show will follow a single mom, Nicole Reese, voiced by Alisha Wainwright, as she raises her son Dion, voiced by Ja’Siah Young. She becomes a single mother after the death of her husband Mark who is voiced by none other than Michael B. Jordan. After his death, Reese finds out that Dion, 8 years old has super powers. The series will showcase Dion, as he attends school, figures out his powers, manages his friendships, and how he deals with the loss of his dad.

Nicole also faces problems balancing life, raising Dion, and dealing with the loss of her husband. It becomes a little more difficult for her when Dion's powers become something that must be considered when raising him.

The series premiers on October 4th.
